Coutu one of the first candidates in state to file

47th District Candidate Christopher Coutu filed the required Citizens Election Program documentation on the 10th of June. With 250 donations and over $5,000, Coutu may qualify for the $25,000. This will enable Coutu to focus on the issues, not fundraising or politics.

After completing our first goal we are focused on obtaining 250 volunteers to support Christopher though out the campaign. We are also looking for people to host neighborhood "Meet and Greets", to empower Chris to get his message out to your family, friends and neighbors. If you would like to help please email us.

"Connecticut's tax and spend ideology does not work"
said Christopher Coutu. The people of the 47th are anxious for a change in ideology. Government should facilitate business growth, not tax people out of business. Government should be lean and operate efficiently, not attempt to solve every issue with more taxes..."

GOP nominates Coutu for 47th District seat

Norwich Bulletin

Norwich, Conn. — Alderman Christopher Coutu unanimously received the Republican nomination Thursday night to run for the 47th District house seat.

Coutu, 31, is an adjunct professor of finance at Three Rivers Community College. He is an Air Force veteran, and said his background in finance and economics will be an asset to the district.
