COUTU QUALIFIES FROM STATE CAMPAIGN FUNDS

Norwich, Conn. — Republican Christopher Coutu has qualified for $25,000 in campaign money under the state’s Citizens’ Election Program.

Coutu, a Norwich alderman, is challenging seven-term incumbent Democrat Jack Malone of Norwich in the 47th District of the state House of Representatives.

Under Connecticut’s Citizens’ Election Program, candidates for House seats can qualify for $25,000 in campaign money if they raise at least $5,000 in individual contributions between $5 and $100 from at least 150 residents of the district.
