Norwich, Conn. —
Christopher Coutu expects to qualify for $25,000 for
his campaign for 47th District state representative
today when he files records of 250 donations to his
campaign.
Coutu, a Republican Norwich alderman, is challenging seven-term incumbent Democrat Jack Malone of Norwich.
Under Connecticut’s Citizens’ Election Program, candidates for House seats can qualify for $25,000 in campaign money if they raise at least $5,000 in individual contributions between $5 and $100 from at least 150 residents of the district.
